Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2002 gmc extended cab failed state inspection today due to ineffective parking brakes. they have been ineffective for years. the consumer took the brakes apart and the left rear shoe was worn out**cc the consumer stated the shoe was not held in place very well. the same problem occurred with the right rear but the brake lining material was still present. *jb the consumer states that the parking brake wears prematurely on the automatic transmission just as well as the manual transmission. the consumer also states that in north carlolina parking brake effectiveness is a part of annual safety inspection. the consumer stated he will take the vehicle in to get a quote to apply the appropriate recall procedure. update 05/09/07 *tr |
