Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 1994 lincoln mark viii that caught fire while sitting in the driveway with the engine off**cc the consumer suffered burns on four of his fingers from trying to put the fire out. the consumer stated it looked as though the fire started in the right front fender panel where the air suspension, motor, brake deactivation switch and the subsequent electronics resided. after doing some research, the consumer discovered the brake deactivation switch was the culprit as it was a known problem for certain ford vehicles of the model year the consumer owns. *jb |
