| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Nissan 2006 quest weak front door hinges. the van is less than 1 year old and the door catches when trying to exit vehicle. took to dealer and they stated those are "light hinges" and they been in production since 2003 and they, "nissan", hasn't had any problems because of them. they siliconed and greased door hinges and the rubber door seal and said that's what a person needs to do. this could be a dangerous situation in the event and elderly or small person needs to exit vehicle in an emergency. i have to bump it pretty good with my shoulder to get the door open. the silicone and grease works for now but i can see hinge pins, latching mechanisms, and door seals wearing out quickly. *jb |
