| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Whilst driving on i-10 it was noted the indicated speed was less than posted. i accelerated , but the indicated speed did not increase. by the time i realized the speedometer was reading incorrectly i was zooming past other traffic. i was likely traveling 90 mph in the 70 mph zone. this was an extremely unsafe event. i took the vehicle to the dealer, and was told speedometer cluster failures were very common in 2003 and 2004 gm/gmc vehicles, but there was no recall. the dealer replaced the instrument cluster . he told me if he had a nickel for every one he replaced he would be a rich man. *ak |
