Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I own a 2003 c1500 chevrolet silverado which has approximately 57,000 miles on it. on three occasions in the last six weeks while driving on the interstate at posted speeds the speedometer has gone from approximate 65 mph, correct readout, to anywhere between 90-120 mph. after sitting for 12 to 36 hours the speedometer will read correctly. this was a serious safety issue which should be corrected by gm. this problem was so common that i have seen it discussed on the national news shows twice in the last week. *ak |
