Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I was stopped at a light and when the light turned green i vehicle accelerated and the pedal stuck, and i hit the brakes and it won't budge. when i was accelerating i was only trying to go about 45 mph ,and at the time when the pedal began to stick i was going 25-30 mph, and then after the pedal stuck i was accelerated at over 70 mph by the time i pulled over. i stepped on the brakes and it slowed down to about 15 mph. it was still trying to accelerate , so i put it in park and car was still trying to accelerate..........rpm was at 4, and i was sitting still, and foot wasn't on the brake, almost hit someone. this was the 3rd time this happened , but this time i actually almost got into a car accident. checked on recalls , and they said that this car was not listed as being in the accelerator pedal"recall. i took the car to a repair shop , and they stated that it needed a new pedal. i still believe it should be under the accelerator pedal recall.*ak
