| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: We were driving home from work with my child in the back seat in the car seat. this specific car seat cover did not wrap all the way around the seat, it only wrapped all the way around on the top and bottom, leaving the sides assembled to my child. the actual cover of the car seat had some sort of backing or stuffing on the inside and nothing covering it. my child pulled the side down and pulled some of the backing off and stuck it in the mouth. my child then continued to choke on it. thank heavens my mother was driving because i was able to turn around and see what was going on. my child choked on the backing and finally vomited it out. my concern is if this could happen to me, how many other children is it happening to. what if i had been driving and no one else was in the car? what if i had the music on? there were so many questions. i called graco, the manufacturer, and they were very polite. the replace my car seat with a new car seat and requested the old one. they said there was a team of people that would investigate into the matter and see how many other complaints have been made. once again, my concern is how long will this take? what if i am the only one that has made a complaint? will it take a child's death before they will recall this? |
