Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Purchased a new 2006 grand chrokee. after i reaching 1,200 miles the vehicle began to shudder or surge, almost feeling like a miss. this may happen at any speed, and in any driving condition, but especially between 35-60 mph. believe it or not it was worse when it was cloudy and cool or damp. i have tried everything that i knew to get the dealer and the manufacturer to repair this. it has been in the shop or down there being test driven and codes taken 8 times. they try to tell me that this was normal. no way!!!! this was extremely annoying, reduced the value of the vehicle and my faith in it. the dealer, and the manufacturer. , after extensive research have found out that there was a recall on the 2005 model for something very similar. the cause was moisture entering the transmission fill tube and causing the torque converter to shudder. also, there were some engine fires due to this. i asked for a trade for a new vehicle and both refused. so now i am about to apply for lemon law or arbitration, or what i am allowed by law for buyb ack. i have also notified our local media, attorney general and bbb. please tell me what else i need to do!*ak
