Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Both rear coil springs on the 2000 ford taurus broke approximately at 80,000 miles along with rear stabilizer bar mounts. there was no damage to tires, but i was told this was a major safety hazard as the tires could be punctured by the broken springs. the front coil springs were recalled for the same issue, however, no recall on the rear springs even though the same danger existed. the repair bill will be settled today ,and i anticipate it to exceed $500 for this problem. there should have been a recall on all 4 coil springs on the ford taurus models affected.*ak |
