Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I took my car in for recall service 04s17 from ford, front coil spring shields. the technician came to find out that the rear leaf springs have a crack. this sounds to me that the rear springs are also a problem and should be added to the recall in tandem with the front coil spring defect. he told me that there's a possibility that i can blow out my rear tire, so i need both rear springs replaced. estimated cost of labor and parts along with an alignment, $460. i'm going to get the work done soon, because of the potential danger of the rear tire blowing out, but it does sound like a manufacturer's defect just like the front coil recall. |
