| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Power steering failure multiple times. aggravated by the service department telling me there was nothing wrong with the system, even after being provided a technical service bullitin put out by gm. last failure almost resulted in a crash into a mattress store due to failure at the apex of a turn.*ak update (10/13/08): the power steering became inoperative during a right hand turn, as if the ignition was turned off. at that point the power steering warning light illuminated. the vehicle became almost impossible to steer. i was unable to complete my turn, however i was able to "coast" to the curb and out of traffic. the power steer steering stayed inactive for multiple on/off starts. then one of the starts it started to work. the power steering column / rack were replaced with a re-manufactured unit. |
