Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The transmission in the honda accord vehicle years 1998-2003 are defective. the transmissions are failing at as early as 70,000 miles. my accords transmission recently failed at an estimated 80,000-85,000 miles. upon further investigation i discovered that honda did/or will replace the transmission in only the 2000 and up accords but will not acknowledge a problem in the 98 and 99 honda accord despite knowing that the same exact type of transmission was used in the 98 and 99 versions as well. there are numerous complaints concerning honda's refusal to take responsibility and replace the transmission in 98 and 99 as well. is their anything that we can do. i think it's unfair to spend over $2,600 to replace something that honda knows is defective. please let me know what actions i could take. thanks *tr |
