| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 06 pontiac gto front passenger tire was shredded on the inside from strut rub. front passenger side strut found to be leaking after the tire blew out driving down the highway at the posted speed of 70mph on 5-26-07. there was a complete ring ground all the way around the inside front tire when it was pulled from the car. the dealer states that there are no strut rub issues but reluctantly replaced only the passenger side strut and tire. my concern is that i may have another safety issue with the driver side strut and tire if it fails that may cause more than just minor repairs to the car. dealer provided gm paperwork that states only struts with manufacturer dates between 1/16/06 & 5/4/06 are affected and any others should not be replaced. *tr |
