Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Service engine light came on. my private mechanic found it to be code p0440 indicating the fuel evaporation system had a problem. initial inspection found nothing but upon performing a smoke test of the fuel system, the fuel inlet nozzle on the fuel tank was found leaking. only fix was to replace the tank. total cost was $2200. i notified gm and was told they cannot do anything since the vehicle is out of warranty. fuel tanks should not be leaking, especially when they are only 4 years of age. many other similar complaints on this website show this to be a common problem with this vehicle. a recall to check all fuel tanks should be done before someone is killed over this poor design/quality issue. *tr
