| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2001 jeep grand cherokee laredo -- every window regulator has broken at least once. driver side window regulator has been replaced twice. windows fall down when regulator fails, which is potential broken glass hazard, according to the mechanic (which is why he refused to permanently wire the window up for me). i took off the back door panels and wired the windows up with steel wire myself to prevent them from falling (and saving me $800, or $400 per window). based on the number of complaints this is obviously a terrible design, and no one should have to spend thousands of auto maintenance dollars to get their windows to roll up! *tr |
