| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: On 2006 and 2007 chevy corvette's the rear axle nut works itself lose. my "07" has 4,200 miles on it. i checked the nut's and found the drivers side tight. but the passenger side was 3/4 turn short of snug, and well short of the 118lb torsue requirement. i heard about it on one of the vette forum boards. chevy has done nothing to alert folks of the problem. there are many people in my club that of retirement age and do little if any of the maintenance on their cars. they had no idea of this happening. *tr |
