Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I have the cosco "touriva" infant to toddler convertible seat that was given to me by "safe kids" for my daughter she is 3 years old and 26 pounds. it is model # 22-100-ttd. i have two of these seats one manufactured 04/13/05 and the other on 07/18/06 both represent a strangulation hazard for smaller kids my daughter almost strangled herself to death during a 4 hour car trip from anchorage to kenai she was able to cross both elastic straps from the seat pad over the seat under her opposite arm and around her neck from both sides of her carseat her seat was behind me so i was not aware of what she was doing until i heard her panic crying and pulled my car over when i did she was dusky in color and her hands were blue because she had cut off her circulation and almost her airway i have since cut the straps from the padding and i took photos on my cell phone camera so i could show local people what i am talking about. i also know another mother who has a 1 year old son who did the same thing in the same type of seat . please put out a warning of the strangulation hazard if i had not pulled over my daughter would have died before we made it home to kenai she was already colored by the time she cried and if i had just dismissed the crying it wouldn't have been long before the outcome could have been very different .... *tr
