| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2002 ford taurus that i had as a company leased vehicle, and have every record on since it entered service until now, that has never been wrecked previously, had a right front spring failure when turning a corner at a very low speed. the spring looks like it had a metal fatigue crack in it, and it broke, tearing a 12 inch gash in the sidewall of the right front tire. this happened at less than 5 mph, which is fortunate, because at highway speeds, this failure could have led to a potentially fatal crash. repaired with old spring from salvage vehicle. i have the old part that failed. *tr |
