Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2000 chevrolet venture. the contact received recall letter # 04v597000 (latches/locks/linkages: doors:latch). the recall repair was performed on july 12, 2005. the contact stated that on may 15, 2007, the side door failed again. when the contact would close the side door, it would re-open. this failure occurred on several occasions before it would close. once it closed, the dome light would remain illuminated and the door open indicator constantly chimed. when using the door unlock button, the lock actuator would constantly click until the door was fully open. the contact took the vehicle back to the dealer on june 1, 2007 for repair where it currently remains. the current and failure mileages were 95,368. the consumer stated the power sliding door makes a loud clicking noise, which souds like the actuator trying to lock and unlock. updated 07/19/07. *jb |
