Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: to all the consumers that either own or knows someone who owns a jaguar. i am putting together a complaint against the manufacturer for a problem within these cars. i, too, own a 02 jaguar x-type and this past weekend the car stopped without any warning signs. i had the car towed to a jaguar dealer on saturday thinking maybe this was a minor problem, until i got the call that the car needed a brand new transmission that will cost me over $5000. after going to websites researching i came across that there were so many other consumers with the same problem , and realized that this must be a manufacturer's problem. the funny thing about it was that we all started off saying that we bought a 02 jaguar and after it reached over 50,000 miles that a transmission was required on it. i came to the conclusion that the manufacturer knew that this was the reason for the expiring warranty at 50,000 miles. the reason nothing has been done about it because no one had ever came forward. this is a time that we all need to stand up and speak out about what just happened to us because i knew some of us, still owning these cars and word of mouth meant everything. right now, i didn't know what to do, but pray and speak out about it which may not get me far but at least it got me heard. i called the local newspaper about it and left a message for a response. i suggested that others do the same and don?t let this continue to go on to other consumers. *ak
