Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I had buckled my 14 month old into her car seat and was tightening the belt (removing slack) when the entire housing that allows you to tighten and release the belt pulled out of the car seat. i could therefore not secure my daughter in the seat because there was no way to securely fasten her with this housing mechanism pulled out. we had to drive home with this defective car seat. we have now sent it back to the manufacturer and are awaiting there decision on replacement. in the mean time we are left with no safe car seat to use as the only available temporary replacement is our sons old seat which is more than 5yrs old.
