Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2006 ford mustang. while driving 40 mph, the contact heard a loud pop and the vehicle shut off without warning. the vehicle was unable to be restarted and was towed to the dealer. the dealer was unable to diagnose the cause of failure, but suggested that it could be the inertia switch. no repairs were made. four days later, the failure recurred. the vehicle was towed to the dealer who was unable to diagnose the failure once more. the dealer informed the contact to depress the inertia switch when the failure occurs. approximately two months later, the vehicle failed to start. the contact depressed the inertia switch, but the vehicle still would not start. the vehicle eventually started about an hour later. the dealer has not diagnosed the failure as of june 14, 2007. the current mileage is 9,800 and failure mileage was 6,500. |
