Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Wednesday june 6th, i got a flat tire. i called my boyfriend to help change the tire. i had never gotten a flat tire before. the instant he had the new tire on the wheel, the jack bent 45 degrees to the side and the jeep fell to the ground. someone could have been hurt. the jack had never been used before. the metal of the jack bent sideways during normal use. this indicated that the jack either wa s defective or it was made of a substance that degraded over three years. i complained to the daimler/chrysler corporate office for customer assistance, and was told that they would not replace the jack because it was out of warranty. this was a potentially dangerous situation. apparently, they were unconcerned. *ak |
