Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: The 2005 chrysler pacifica was burning oil at 1 quart per 1000 miles. the dealership took the engine apart and replaced the valve seals. this helped and slowed the oil consumption,, but did not fix it. now the car was still burning 1 quart 1000 miles, which chrysler claimed was perfectly normal , according to their policy. the manager at the dealership stated that this was not a problem that pacifica's had and seemsed to be unique to this car ,and a few others. chryslerwas still refusing to fix the problem. if allowed the oil to burn at 1quart. per 1000 miles, then at 3000 miles oil change the vehicle will be 3 quarts low, leaving only 2.5 quarts. of oil inthe car. this was 2 quarts. below the minimum level for safe driving according to the chrysler pacifica owner's manual. *ak
