Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My husband was having the new 2006 dodge magnum for maintenance and the mechanic told him that his passenger's side tie rod was loose and needed to be replaced. now, this was very strange, especially since its was a 2006. model. when we inquired at the dodge dealer about this mishap they said that there was no recall on this particular problem yet, but they had complaints, people were bringing their cars in for this same problem. the unfortunate thing was that people were going elsewhere to have it fixed because it was too costly to have it done at the dealer. the dealer wanted to charge for the whole rack and pinion instead of just the tie rod that wa sloose. it just so happened that my husband's friend had the same vehicle and he too just paid an arm and leg to hav the tie rod fixed, and his too wa s a 2006. now, i did not know how many more people out there have been having the same problem, but it was too coincidental. when i went out researching to see how much this was going to cost, every mechanic i spoke with asked the same thing, and it was only a 2006?" i am still shopping around to see who will fix this problem for me, but i thought it was important for you to know. hopefully others will complain as i did, and we could have this problem reimbursed or fixed. thank you for your time. *ak |
