| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The complaint concerned the dometic refrigerators for a rv refrigerator recall. also, against camping world for their lack of timely response to fix the recalled refrigerator. here is the email conversation with dometic. thanks for nothing! why bother posting on your website to contact you or the national highway traffic administration if you cannot resolve this issue. the nearest dealer, other than camping world, is 90 miles away and after that, all the other dealers are out of the state of california. i don't think you or the nhtsa believe that it is reasonable for me to travel a round trip of 180 mile at $3.40 a gallon for gas on an rv that gets 8 mpg, along with the 3 + hours of commute time. i will forward this correspondence to the nhtsa. fortunately we cannot help with camping worlds scheduling. you can choose to contact another service center to set up an appointment. our authorized service this email is to inform you that a company that committed to repairing my recalled refrigerator has not done so after five weeks. the company is "camping world" located at 24901 west pico cyn rd, valencia, ca 91381. phone # (661) 255-9220. my refrigerator serial # is 20205122 and i called 5 weeks ago and i am on a list for them to call me. i call back every week and i am told that they will not repair my refrigerator until my name comes up. they said i was number 55 on the list. last week, the guy said the reality is that they get paid "nothing" to do recalls therefore the regular "money making" jobs come first. today when i called they said i am now on their "first page which means another week. when i told them i have camping trips planed, they told me not to use the refrigerator until it gets repaired. i said this is not reasonable since i need to use it while camping. their response was "go camping, don't use the refrigerator or wait for several more weeks. *ak |
