| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While driving on i-69n at 70 mph, the top half of our landrover car top carrier (top box s class tour monacar) came off and fell into the oncoming traffic along with most of items packed in the carrier, including golf clubs, tennis rackets, fishing poles, a duffel bag packed with clothing and miscellaneous items. when we retrieved the top half of the car top carrier, it was determined that the top portion of the carrier had sheared off below the locking mechanism, despite the fact that the latch was secured tightly and that the lock had been activated. despite heavy traffic volume due to it being a holiday weekend, there were no injuries or accidents. there was significant damage to the items in the car, our car and, of course, the carrier. |
