| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: This concerns an general tire p245/70r17. this tire was on my gmc sierra pick-up truck. these tires came with the truck. within a month of owning this truck the tread tore away from the tire leaving large holes the dealership replaced those tires in 2006. this incident happened june 23, 2007. the passenger rear tire exploded while driving 65 mph. it only had 17600 miles on the tire. the incident led me to loss of control of the vehicle and damage to the rim as i tried to pull over. the dealership said general would not replace this tire because this can happen and is a risk you take, i disagree. if this had been on the front tire i have no doubt i would of either caused an accident or lost total control. *ak |
