Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Hi, my name is [xxx] an aaa member, and am experiencing a unique problem with the car seat, well actually my children in the car seats. i have properly installed britax car seats , 2005 & 2006 models)for both my 3 & 2 year olds. my problem is that both children have learned how to open both the chest clasp and the leg harness release buttons. they then proceed to roam about the car while i am driving. i am not always in a position to immediately pull over to sit them down again. i contacted the car seat company who assured me that there was nothing that could be done and that all car seats have more or less the same type of buckle system. i even contacted my local police station who had absolutely no advice other that reminding me i would receive a stiff summons for children not being in their car seats! please help me with my situation. i have no idea where to turn. i am a single mom who always travels alone with my kids and only take them if absolutely necessary. i have tried all kinds of distraction methods such as games, coloring, music... but all to no avail. i am truly worried about their safety.. any advice would be greatly appreciated. *ak information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr |
