| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2003 aztek. noticed 1/4 tank of gas leaked under vehicle. no prior problem with gas leakage or event causing the leakage. took car to gm dealer. they said i would have to replace the entire fuel tank. no used parts or aftermarket parts could be used because of a modification to the gas tank after this car was produced. no recall information was available. i contacted pontiac customer service and got a run-around. they were to call the service department to discuss. they failed to follow through. there is a nhtsa rq06-009 action open on this problem but no one seemed to care. it appears that i am stuck paying for a manufacturer defect. *tr |
