Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The car has 77000 miles on it. vehicle was well maintained. i took the car to dealer the car for maintenance once in 4000 - 5000 miles. when i was driving at 55 on the freeway i heard a big sound and saw the smoke was coming out from the front panel. i pulled over the car and opened the front panel. i saw fire from two different places. i checked it with my mechanic , and he told me that the connectivity rod #2 came out very next to the oil filter which caused the engine to blew up. i called toyota and filed the complaint. but toyota representative told me that they won't replace the engine. the car was bought from the dealer shop, and the dealer was responsible for selling the defective car. i got a defective engine and forced replace it on my own. *ak |
