Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 2003 chevy cavalier with 55,000 miles was running fine, then one day after doing some grocery shopping, i started the car and it stalled. trying to pull out of a parking space in the shopping center, the car stalled at least 6 more times. the check engine light came on at start up and stayed on. i drove the car around the parking lot of the shopping center and it started to settle down. i decided to try and drive it home where there is an auto shop i use right by my house. the car didn't make it even a 1/2 mile (only to the next traffic light) where it stalled at the red light leaving me stranded in the middle of a buy intersection. i had some guys from a local goodyear shop help me push the vehicle into their parking lot, from which i had the car towed to my local shop. on investigation the car needed a new fuel pump, which a gm authorized dealer would sell for $700. *tr |
