| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2004 nissan maxima. the vehicle has a set of goodyear eagle rs-a, size p245/45r18 tires. the contact received a recall notice indicating that her tires could potentially be defective and, if the tires have any cracks, they should be replaced. there were no cracks or damage to her tires. while driving 25 mph, the front passenger side tire blew out. the tires were never inspected on a regular basis. the mechanic stated that there was no way the tire should have failed, unless she was given a defective set. her tires displayed no evidence of the defect. the mechanic also stated that she had at least 10,000 more miles left on the tire. the tires have not been replaced. the vin, engine size, dot number, and recall number were unknown. the current and failure mileages were 40,000. |
