Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 1990 chrysler imperial. the contact stated that the abs light illuminated on the instrument panel. in order to stop the vehicle, she had to stand on the brakes three times. after inspecting the vehicle, the mechanic stated that the cause of failure was the service hydraulic brakes. the estimated cost to have the brakes repaired is $1,000. chrysler stated that her vin is excluded from recall number 96v099000 (service brakes, hydraulic:antilock). the current and failure mileages were 132,000.
