Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 2001 pontiac grand am will not start...again. i know the problem is with the security passlock system, but the mechanic at the dealership acts like he has no idea what im talking about. i called gm customer service and they told me they couldn't help me unless a part they replaced was defective. i was in my way to have a diagnostic test ran today and the car wouldn't start. now i have to get it towed, again. they still will not listen to me. i have read online forums, the nost helpful of which came from edmunds.com. i will keep trying with the dealer. this is the 5th time the car won't start. i've had a new battery and a new ignition switch put in. i know it is related to the security system because the security light is on...duh. it comes on every time i have this problem. i have turned the key to the on position for 10 minutes to reset the computer. that worked once and doesn't work anymore. i have put way too much money into this car and cannot afford to put any more into it over a problem that gm knows exists and will not fix. maybe they believe if they ignore it, it will go away. *tr |
