Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Just discovered driver side tire rubbing strut and the paint has been rubbed off of the strut. i had noticed the steering wheel shaking a little at highway speeds. i removed the front tires and the inside of the left front tire is almost bald. after reading a lot about this issue over the past few months, it is undeniable that the 2004 gto has design defects and inadequate suspension parts. i'm wondering how long it will be before gm does the right thing by replacing these parts with parts that won't immediately fail. will they do this willingly or will they wait until they are forced to do the right thing? will one or more people have to die first? will customers be forced to spend more of their own money to fix gm's shortcomings? after much research, i've come to the conclusion that a pedders or similar suspension upgrade is the only fix since gm replacement suspension parts will quickly fail just like the original parts. it will be interesting to see if gm will come through and will determine my future car purchases and those of the people i know. *tr |
