Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: The speedometer on my 2004 gmc envoy began acting erratically, sometimes reading too low, and other times reading too high. i was charged $511 by a gm dealer to replace the instrument cluster. the incident date indicated is approximate. with regard to number of failures, this is the approximate number of times i initially observed the speedometer reading too low or too high. each failure lasted for a number of days and then the speedometer seemed to read correctly for a week or two before the next failure. *tr
