Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2005 pontiac g6. the contact stated that the power steering fails intermittently. the failure caused his vehicle to pull to the left, forcing him to grip the steering wheel to regain control. he stated that there is an open investigation (pe07023) for this failure. the contact discovered nineteen complaints on nhtsa's website regarding the same failure. when he took his vehicle to the dealer to have it repaired, the mechanic stated that the cause of failure was the torque sensor of the component. as of august 9, 2007, the vehicle remains at the repair shop. the vin, failure mileage, and speed were unknown. the current mileage was 45,000.
