Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Purchased used 2002 ford explorer from original owner. after inspecting vehicle good, i found that the rear differential was leaking and fluid very dirty; appears to have metal filings. can hear loud rumble and whine while driving. i unerstand that cost is about $1,600 to repair. i also understand now that this is a serious problem with 2002 and 2003 ford explorers, and that ford is well aware of this. i am concerned for my safety with this type of failure. *tr |
