| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Speedometer reads incorrectly. when speedometer reads 70 mph, actual travel speed is 65. this is based on my gps in the car. called vw (ref#70260633) and both the dealership and the customer care number said that a 5 mph differential was within sae specifications. not knowing how fast a car is traveling is a accident precursor. driving too slow on the interstate can lead to accidents from the rear, and trying to guess how fast you are going to compensate can lead to excessive speeds. *jb |
