| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Complete power failure while riding motorcycle at speed. did not crash, recovered from power loss by holding in clutch and shifting to neutral. upon stopping, no ignition power, no power to dash, battery has full charge (over 90%), gas was full. upon recommendation, i examined ignition wiring harness and noted that a four-pin connector had burned and melted, apparently a common problem with 2003 suzuki sv1000s motorcycles as per this website: http://www.sv-portal.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20730&page=5&highlight=green+connector this problem is life-threatening, as it can occur while vehicle is in motion at freeway speeds! *tr |
