Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have a new 2007 nissan murano sl when the vehicle is in reverse and brake pedal applied, there is a horrible screeching/squealing noise that occurs. it is a very loud noise that can be heard from far away. this happens almost every time the car is in reverse. the problem does not occur when vehicle is going forward. the brakes continue to work except for the noise. i have called the dealer countless times and they say a fix is being worked on, but no resolution as to when it will happen. not sure if the dealer is lying to me, or if nissan is really trying to figure it out. the dealer does not know how to fix the problem at this time. i took the murano in to be fixed thinking they had a an official solution, but all they did was inspect the brakes. this needs to be corrected soon as i have read many forums where 06 and 07 murano owners have the exact same problem with brake squeal. it is so loud my neighbors can here it from there houses. there needs to be a recall on this before the brakes fail and some gets hurt. *jb |
