Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Driving at a speed of about 25mph, i stopped quick to avoid a car coming out of side street. after stopping the car would not move. when checked by a mechanic he said he had never seen anything like this. the lower control arm on the left side of car had rotted away at one point, and the metal was paper thin. he than told me it was good that i was not going at a high rate of speed when this happened, or i would have had a serious accident. i was lucky, but if this defect is on other cars someone may get killed. this was on a 2001 hyundai elantra. i'm now waiting for the part to replace it. *tr |
