Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: The vehicle (diamo velux scooter) has: an unsafe wind profile: the bike is dangerously susceptible to even light winds. dangerous braking characteristics: extreme pressure is required to stop the bike even though it only weighs 300 pounds. emergency braking would not be possible under normal conditions. dangerous shock absorber design: even small changes in road smoothness will cause the bike to respond in unexpected ways. body compartment latch: the rear external compartment is prone to opening while driving creating a hazard for the driver. this is exacerbated by the shock absorber problem. windscreen: all diamo velux bikes (according to the distributor - ls motorsports) have a stain on the windshield caused by the wiper blade. this is distracting to the driver. handling characteristics: motorcyclists depend on agility. this bike is unstable in turns and exhibits a high degree of instability even when changing lanes. unpredictable starting acceleration: the automatic transmission on the bike is unpredictable in how much throttle is required to start the bike moving at the correct speed. *tr
