Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have had my 2006 honda odyssey for one year when the air conditioner went out. the dealer determined the refrigerant leaked out due to a small hole in the condenser coil. the hole came from a small rock or other object that was kicked up while driving. the problem is that the coil is up front, below the front license plate, and fully exposed to road hazards. the design defect has caused problems for hundreds of others according to the information on various web sites. the dealer advised it will cost $700 to repair and is not covered under warranty. they suggested i contact my insurance company. i filed a complaint with american honda (case# n012007-08-2400679) but have not heard back from them. the dealers service manager claims to have called american honda as well and was told it was not covered. *tr |
