Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2007 saturn ion hybrid. while driving 55 mph with the accelerator pedal depressed, the vehicle stalled. no warning lights illuminated. the vehicle was able to be restarted approximately four minutes later. the vehicle was towed to the dealer and they replaced the catalytic converter. the second failure also occurred while driving 55 mph. the contact stated that the interior lights and the steering failed. the vehicle was able to be restarted approximately ten minutes later. the vehicle was towed to the dealer and they installed a wire from the hybrid battery to the generator. the contact believed that the electrical system was the cause of the failures. the current mileage was 6,036 and failure mileage was 6,000. updated 01-16-08. *kb the consumer stated a new catalytic converter was installed. |
