Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Beginning about april 2007 (i bought the car new in june 2004), i began having a problem after every refueling - the car stalls out while driving. it takes 3 or 4 attempts at restart, then starts, only to stall within 5 minutes or so of more driving. this has happened many times, and my car has been to the dealer 3 times and it will not misbehave for the dealer. it seems that it only happens when the car is below 1/4 tank at refueling, so i have avoided problems by filling up before that point. however, i tested it today, drove it below 1/4 tank, refueled, and it did it again. note - i only use the appropriate grade gas and only chevron - never any other brand. i never top off. i have asked the dealer to check the fuel filter, fuel delivery system, to no avail. they insist that the "computer says its fine" this is a dangerous situation because the car stalls while i am driving, not just idling. *jb |
