| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2005 nissan titan left rear axle seal failure. on the morning of 8-21-2007 i noticed oil inside my left rear wheel. i climbed under the truck and could see clearly where it had leaked out the end of the axle. the previous day i had been traveling back to my home from a 6 hour trip. i filled up with gas about 3 hours away from home-i did not see any oil in rear wheel (gas cap is next to wheel). problem had to happen after fill-up-this is a major problem because i was traveling at night,70 mph on interstate. if all fluid had of leaked out ,that could be catastrophic at that time. also i do not think that it is safe for diff oil to be leaking on rear brake disks. i know that nissan is having problems with these seals on titan trucks and think they should be made to come up with a lasting repair before somebody gets killed or injured. my local dealer replaced the leaking seal. *tr |
