Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While driving on the interstate 500 miles away from home the transaxle in my 2004 chrysler pacifica broke. when it was towed to a chrysler dealership i was told that it would be sometime until they could obtain a new transaxle as there is a "global back order of them". that in itself should tell the nhts something. since i was 500 miles away from home, labor day weekend and no rental cars available, and no parts available, my only option was to trade a broke down car in on a new one. i will never ever drive another pacifica. it is clear to me now, why they have all the safety features in the pacifica, you will need it when the tractor trailer that is behind you, runs you over when the transaxle breaks. *jb |
