| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I am looking for help. my 98 honda civics airbags deployed for no reason at all. i parked my vehicle, turned the ignition off & both air bags exploded in my face! don carlton honda in tulsa did look at the car & stated it is not their problem. my insurance company says the damage is not covered because it is a manufacturer malfunction. as i am conducting my research, i found that the inferior algorithms is a known airbag defect and that they can deploy or fire for no reason, which is exactly what happened to me. the dealership does not believe me. i am out $3,800 assett, i have no transportation, i am a single mother going to school full time, this is very stressful. i am so afraid that this could have happened as i was traveling down the highway at 65 mph with my 2 yr old in the car! we could have been killed! how many other honda drivers are at risk? *tr the consumer stated incured $188 in tow charges and would like to be reimbursed for such charges. the consumer provided pictures of the defect, recall notice, and the value of the vehicle obtained through kelley blue book. updated 12/12/07 *tr |
